Every August has always been special to me, although it's not my birth month even! This August was no exception! It was quite a productive and satisfying month both professionally and personally. I also found time for a couple of new art styles. Painting on textured canvas after watching and taking tips from a number of YouTube has been refreshing. Here are two pieces I have tried on textured canvas keeping the orange veena as the protagonist. Hope you like it :)

Holi hai!!!
Sometimes all you need is a little splash of colours!! It changes your black and white monotonous life into a vibrant and positive one.
This year, holi was special . I spent the time in my room playing with colours. Hope you like the result that came out of it.
PS: sorry for the late post. This has been lying in the drafts unattended to. But like they say.. Better late than never :) happy holi guys! :)

Autumn - When every Leaf is a floweR
Hello my dearies!
Busy 2017 has sure kept all of us on our toes. Travelling in the infamous bangalore traffic on work is the worst punishment your boss could give you. To tide over this phase of travelling without losing my calm, I engaged myself with audio books, music, making calls to everyone listed on my phone book, munching something(I think I tried almost everything to stay engaged on the roads!) while my car moved at snails pace. Despite all my attempts not to frown while navigating nothing seemed to help elevate my mood. But what suddenly caught my eyes were the rows of beautiful bright yellow headed trees on either sides of the road and the roads that were covered with yellow leaves. (you could see this at almost every junction in bangalore at around this time of the year) It somehow lit up my face and I smiled. It was beautiful to just get down and walk on a yellow trail of leaves that decked the road like a carpet. It amazed me as to how nature found quaint ways to make us smile amidst all the pollution and abuse that we hail at it. This inspired me to try something new on my canvas with leaves and trees being the protagonists . I learnt knife painting and tried my hand at it this time. I was happy with the outcome. Knife painting demanded a lot of patience but I thoroughly enjoyed the process :) hope you like it too.
